3D Car Simulator
More games to play
3D Car Simulator is a free browser driving game by Faramel Games where you pick one of three vehicles and roam open maps at high speed. No download or account is needed, so it works at school or work as long as your browser can run WebGL games. The game came out in October 2016 and got a graphical update in January 2018, adding smoother performance for Mac users. It is played entirely on this page.
What is 3D Car Simulator?
3D Car Simulator puts you behind the wheel of a rally car, a police car, or an old car across three open 3D maps. There are no races or timers forcing you along. You choose a map, choose a vehicle, and drive wherever you want at full speed. The draw is simple: fast cars, open roads, and enough visual detail to make the speed feel real. The police car adds a small extra: you can toggle its lights on and off while you drive.
Steering and camera controls
All controls work from the keyboard. The camera key is worth learning early because the default view is not always the best for tight corners.
| Action | Key |
|---|---|
| Accelerate / steer | WASD or arrow keys |
| Handbrake | Space bar |
| Change camera angle | C |
| Switch vehicle | Shift |
| Reset car position | R |
| Toggle police lights | E |
Cars and maps
There are three vehicles and three maps to mix and match. The vehicles handle differently, and the maps vary in layout, so trying each combination gives you something new to do without any unlock system.
| Vehicle | Character |
|---|---|
| Rally car | Fast, responsive, built for speed |
| Police car | Mid-range speed, toggleable siren lights |
| Old car | Slower, heavier feel on the road |
Tips for getting the most out of free roam
- Use the handbrake (Space) to slide around corners instead of braking normally.
- Press C to cycle camera angles. The hood camera makes high-speed runs feel a lot faster.
- If you get stuck on terrain, press R to reset your position without restarting the whole session.
- Switch vehicles with Shift to compare how each car handles on the same map.
- The police car lights (E) are purely cosmetic but are a good reason to try that vehicle at least once.
Playing 3D Car Simulator at school or on mobile
The game runs in the browser on desktop, phones, tablets, and Chromebooks. No installation is required. Because it is a browser game with no client download, it generally works at school or work on networks that allow standard web traffic. Performance depends on your device: the 2018 update improved Mac compatibility, and modern phones handle it well at default settings.
